The psychological influence of the thought “to desire”, a remarkable element of human emotions, has the ability to possess and shape our intentions to want. Provoked by material, sensual, or intellectual stimuli, wanting streams into a force of “must” (a need to, a need for) found in all of our emotional vocabularies. And if possible, a fulfilling act of gratification follows. Within the sense of human desire, the mind becomes reactionary-an artist paints, a poet writes, a scientist explores- inspiring achievement through a beckoned goal. Desire is passion, with indescribable powers to satisfy what could be a basic need or the utmost accomplishment.

In this group exhibition, twelve artists illustrate their idea of objects of desire.

The exhibition opens Thursday, March 5th, and continues through March 31st, 2015.
